European Design Hotel Awards judge’s described Plum & Spilt Milk Restaurant at The Great Northern Hotel as stand out project for its exquisite finishes and clever space planning, that allows all diners to have a great seat and views over neighbouring St Pancras station. The vintage yet modern design adds warmth to an all-day restaurant in a class of its own.
The strikingly beautiful Plum & Spilt Milk serves simple British classics, cooked under the supervision of highly acclaimed chef Mark Sargeant and his team. Designed by Archer Humphryes, the 17 floor-to-ceiling windows allow daylight to stream through while the vintage yet modern design creates warmth to an all-day restaurant in a class of its own. Wherever guests are seated, they enjoy amazing views of either the Kings Cross Piazza, the railway station or George Gilbert Scotts iconic clock tower.
Created by working within the existing framework of the building and knocking together a number of bedrooms, this sophisticated room is already becoming one of London’s most attractive new restaurants.
Decorated with handmade Boffi furniture, stunning wooden floor and exquisite 120 hand blown light shades, Plum & Spilt Milk also has a handsome snug bar attached for guests to drink the night away.
