Milan Design Agenda had acess to Michelin guide for Italy 2014. The authority/jury board made this annoucement a few weeks ago and awarded the best Italian Restaurants boasting eight three-starred venues after Restaurant Reale by chef Niko Romito gained its third star.
There are three new two-starred restaurants in Italy with Villa Feltrineli by chef Stefano Baiocco, theDevero restaurant by chef Enrico Bartolini and Locanda Serafino by chef Vincenzo Candiano all rising from one to two stars.
The Michelin guide for Italy will also feature a whopping 29-new restaurants to gain a star. Italy now has 8 three-starred restaurants, 40 two-starred restaurants and 281 one-star restaurants in the guide. Three stars in the guide signifies ‘exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey’, two means ‘excellent cooking, worth a detour’ and one star means ‘a very good restaurant in its category’.
