The designer Christofer Duffy explains to Design Boom how he came up with the idea for his amazing design: “I was looking into sheets of thick glass at my glass manufacturer’s factory, and noticed how the material darkened as they added more layers – the same way the sea does as it deepen and I wanted to use this effect to replicate a real piece of the earth’s sea bed. Like a mythical power had lifted a perfect rectangle straight from the earth’s crust to use as his personal ornament“.
Sparkling Table – designed by John Foster
The magnificent cocktail table, will make your guests take out their cameras once they enter you living room. His one-of-a-kind “Sparkle Palace Cocktail Table” table is a magnificent fusion of glass and light reflection. A round glass tabletop is placed on a reversed pyramid of elegantly cut glass crystals, which divide the natural light into hundreds of rainbow reflections the walls.

The Egyptians said that they were the tears of the God RA and in many other civilizations they were adores and considered as Gods. The liquor that they produce was, in many histories and cultures, connected to gold. And now all this royalty of the bees, originally called “APIS” in Latin, was the main inspiration for this wood and brass dining table. The imposing of this table is represented by a top that retraces the torso of big and ancient trees and in a base inspired on the golden beehives, that together results in a piece of nature translated into a piece of furniture.
