Design Contract would like to present you the shortlisted for the best kitchen design at the International Design and Architecture Awards 2016 project, by Design Intervention. This kitchen project includes an amazing costumized piece by Delightfull, which makes the design a modern yet classic project.
The international Design Studio based in Singapore – Design Intervention, helmed by partners, Nikki Hunt and Andrea Savage has won, over the past few years, several awards and accolades across the full spectrum of the design field including, retail, leisure, architectural , product and interior design, firmly establishing themselves as one of the leading design studios working in Asia today.
As a space where this family intended to spend much of their time, the Designer wanted the kitchen to be as beautiful as it was functional. They selected a vibrant blue heavily-veined granite for the island top. It provides a show-stopping focal point and a visual anchor to the space.
The rose tone of the copper adds warmth to the space and a visual connection to the coral tones used in adjacent rooms. Trimming copper-fronted doors in steel has allowed them to integrate stainless steel appliances seamlessly into the design.
Polished steel and gold accents were used, combining a third metal element: in this kitchen, they combined copper, polished steel and gold tones for a thoroughly, fresh and unique kitchen.
The breath-taking suspentions light Brubeck by Delightfull is considered an art deco piece with musical inspiration, this time through the dramatic pipe organ. Brubeck fixture is an instant classic sculptural design. An extravagant shape full of refinement and modernity. 100% handmade in brass tubes it’s possible to create any shape or dimension, as we can see in this kitchen project.
