
In 2002, the imm cologne and the German Design Council set themselves the goal of initiating an independent award geared towards the sector. The result: the Interior Innovation Award, which is today considered one of the most prestigious design awards in the furnishing industry worldwide. Doday Design Contract tells you about the ceremony happening on the 12th January, to kick-start the fair on the 13th.

IMM Cologne is the first furniture show of the year, happening from 13th to 19th January. As part of the fair, there are a few parallel events, like the Interior Innovation Award. This prize stands for first-class innovative achievements in furniture industry. It offers companies an effective tool for corporate positioning and product differentiation on the interior design market.
All the pieces selected for consideration will be on display in the Interior Innovation Award Exhibition: Trend Avenue in hall 4.2.
The “area is divided into two sections: in one, the trends from bathroom, floors/walls and lighting will be presented, and in the other the winning works of the Interior Innovation Award 2014 will be shown. The special exhibition D3 Contest 2014 is shown at the Pure Village.” German Design Council
Pure Village, launched in 2010, is a democratic design platform for established and up-and-coming brands and designers featuring an innovative mix of product ranges that cover the entire spectrum of interior design.
One of selected products for the Interior Innovation Award 2014 is the KOI Dinning Table II by BRABBU.
