Gstaad is known as one of Europe’s most luxurious ski resorts, offering challenging slopes, gourmet restaurants and designer shops, and since opening in 1910, the Grand Hotel Park has provided the home base for the city’s glamorous visitors. In 2010 the hotel underwent a ten-month renovation and modernization but lost nothing of its timeless elegance. Its four Penthouse Suites are exquisitely furnished, with sustainable woods and wool products, and one of them features private integrated spas with hammams and saunas, cozy fireplaces in the master bedrooms and fabulous views of the Bernese Alps.
Grand Hotel Residencia is designed in the Spanish colonial style and has 94 exclusive rooms located in small two-storey villas. The interior design was created by the prestigious French architect Alberto Pinto. Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia takes its environmental responsibilities seriously and has successfully drawn up a sustainability programme which combines economic and ecological aspects with the aim of preserving for future generations the resources which are at our disposal.
At the heart of the famous medieval city of Saint Emilion, rises the Hostellerie de Plaisance, a unique place in this village which is on the Unesco World Heritage List. Its architecture reveals two buildings, overhung with the monolith church’s bell tower, and connected by beautiful suspended gardens. Gorgeous contrast, the buildings are carved in rock and the architecture is dominated by an elegant and ascetic classicism. Stone is omnipresent, a pale and luminous beige reflecting the blazing village from dawn to sunset. Painter worthy composition, the inclined roofs are answered by the village hills, illuminated or thrown back in the shadow, offering an aesthetic vision of the village, always renewed.
Following a comprehensive and meticulous refurbishment overseen by designer Alberto Pinto, the world renowned interior design studio, The Lanesborough reopened its doors in July 2015. The Lanesborough presents bedrooms and dining rooms reinstated to their original Regency splendour, into which the latest communications technologies and entertainment systems have been seamlessly woven. The Garden Room will resume its position as the capital’s most glamourous cigar lounge and The Library Bar as one of London’s most exclusive bars. Seven carefully and individually designed private rooms will offer some of the most refined event spaces.
