The two firms Eric Tsay has worked for in New York are both the winners for Cooper Hewitt National Design Award for Interior Design and are both the inductee for Interior Design Hall of Fame. Monkey Bar won Condé Nast Traveller I&D Award in 2010. Hyatt Regency Suzhou, Pullman Kaifeng and Regent Chongqing all won China Best Design Hotel in 2015 and 2017.

Eric Tsay moved to Beijing, China in 2011. He worked in New York City from 1996-2011 for 17 years. (Gabellini Sheppard & Tsao & Mckown, etc.) Eric Tsay participated in many award-winning projects throughout the years, including the AIA National Award.
